Information you give us at the clinic
When you visit the clinic, we ask for personal and health information (for example, your medical and dental history, X-rays and treatment records) so we can examine and treat you safely. We collect this in person, with your consent, and keep it as part of your clinical record. This website does not collect it. If you choose to send a photograph or X-ray by WhatsApp or email, we use it only to answer your enquiry or advise on treatment.
Consent and how we use your data
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by a clear action such as contacting us or clicking “Allow”. We may also process it for the “legitimate uses” the DPDP Act permits, such as responding to a request you voluntarily made and for which you provided your contact details, responding to a medical emergency, or complying with the law.
We use your personal data only for the purposes listed in this notice. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (see “Your rights”). Withdrawing does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew. It may mean we can no longer provide a service that depends on that data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted or archived.
- Clinical records: for the period required by the dental and medical record-keeping rules that apply to the clinic.
- Technical and security logs: for the period needed to keep the website secure, and as long as the law requires.
When we no longer need personal data for its purpose, and no law requires us to keep it, we erase it.
Keeping your data safe
We take reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website, restricting the staff login to authorised clinic users, and database rules that stop the public from reading or changing anything that is not publicly published. Our providers maintain their own security measures.
If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Children
The DPDP Act treats anyone under 18 as a child and requires the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian before processing a child's personal data. This website is intended for adults. Appointments for children should be arranged by a parent or guardian, whose consent we will ask for before treatment.
We do not knowingly collect children's personal data through this website, we do not track or monitor children's behaviour, and we do not direct advertising at them.
